Floreos Y Compuestas is comprised primary of a selected association of breeders who are exclusively dedicated to the preservation, conservation, and improvement of the Discontinuous Spanish Canary Songbird here in the United States. We are proud to have established the first Discontinuous Spanish Canary Songbird Club in the United States. Our Spanish Discontinuous Canary enthusiast - breeders focuses on the philosophical practice- traditional science of selective breeding. These methods are upheld very highly amongst our circle of breeders which has produced defining results noticeable in our breeding programs. This collaborated effort has contributed many factors not only in the techniques to developed, and produce hearty , vibrant songbirds with vocal range & unique variety-rythm of their singing ability , but also the foundations of newly discovered hereditary traits distinct in characteristics of our bloodlines. One of the traditional methods implemented for the development of discontinuous songbirds is isolation . Essentially, the potential bird is " genetically selected" using our observation technics-reference tools such as pedigree- bloodlines, background information archived in our historical breeding data base. Once the young birds have been weaned, they are grouped by family (group of brothers) and each family is acoustically isolated from each other. Techniques that are fashionably used by other songbird breeders such as cds, audio recordings , tutorial mimics to hear other songbirds are strictly prohibited and utterly outlawed by the Club. We'd especially like to give special acknowledgment and express our most profound gratitude to Mr. Ricardo Gutierrez Alvarez, Mr. Manuel Alvarez Urbon, with the many others breeders whom we highly esteem from Spain not mentioned in this introduction that have over the ongoing years shared their expertise, and knowledge with us. Without their invaluable insight, unlimited assistance, we couldn't have achieved the progress we've made here in the United States. Please Join us in the pursuit of perfection- the unrelenting quest to develop the best genetically selected Canary Song birds, the Spanish Discontinuo.
